Sphinxes come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Sphinxes can be found all over the world, and different types of sphinxes can be very unique. There are also a multitude of mutations in the sphinxes world to add even more distinction between them.

-- Basic Types --

Egyptian

The Egyptian sphinxes make up the vast majority of the population. The basic sphinx will have a typical lion body with the head of a human. They are about the size of a large tiger.

Hierocosphinx and Criosphinx

The Hieroco and Crio sphinxes are similar to the Egyptian sphinxes, but have falcon and ram reads respectively. These traits can only be found in males, and any female offspring will always be the egyptian type instead. The Hieroco and Crio traits will pass to male children at the normal percentage rate. Hieroco and Crio sphinxes use all the same job costumes as Egyptian sphinxes, but modifications are made for their heads, ususally resulting in the headpiece of the costume being removed.

Bennu

(Shown here with all phoenix traits)

The Bennu sphinx are similar to the Egyptian sphinxes, but have an Ibis head instead of a human head. This combining of cat with a species besides human makes them similar to the Hieroco and Crio sphinxes. However, unlike their falcon and ram counterparts, Bennu sphinxes can be both male and female.

Greek

Greek sphinxes have a rich heritage that is entirely separate from the Egyptians. They also have cat bodies and human heads, but unlike Egyptian sphinxes, Greek sphinxes always have wings. For this reason, they believe themselves superior to their Egyptian cousins.

Netjer

Netjers are an entirely different sort of sphinx from those listed above. Instead of an animal body with a human head, Netjer's have more of a human body with an animal head. In this case, the standard Netjer have a jackal head, much like their favored god, Anubis. They live far to the south of the Egyptian sphinxes, so they are not much seen in the Egyptian city of Khemet.
