There probably aren't many of you who would immediately connect the title of this page to the song by the same name
sung by Rob Thomas which played over the closing credits of Disney's 2007 animated film, Meet the Robinsons. The
song was very popular on the radio at the time that Madeline was born... one of those that you swear the radio station
plays every five minutes. Being home with Madeline during the day and playing the radio continuously, I heard the
song a lot in those first weeks after her birth. I didn't mind, though. In fact, I turned it up every time the song played. It
quickly became "Madeline's Song". The words seemed to not only sum up everything I was feeling at the time about being
a new mom, but also served as a poignant reminder to enjoy every moment, all the "small hours" that made up our days. No
matter how difficult it seemed at times, the experience as a whole of caring for this precious new life was pure joy. It
was those small hours that added up to Motherhood, and I wouldn't trade any of it away. We waited a long time to finally
have this little wonder in our home, and the experience is far more than we imagined.
This site has been a long time coming for our families and friends, but I hope that you'll all enjoy it now that it's here. And
I'll include the lyrics to the song "Little Wonders" below for those of you who are unfamiliar with it. Enjoy!

Little Wonders
by Rob Thomas
Watch the music video
Let it go
Let it roll right off your shoulder
Don't you know
The
hardest part is over
Let it in
Let your clarity define you
In the
end
You will only just remember how it feels
Our lives are made
In
these small hours
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours
These small hours
Still
remain
Let it slide
Let your troubles fall behind you
Let it
shine,
Till you feel it all around you
And I don't mind
If it's me you
need to turn to
We'll get by
It's the heart that really matters in the
end
Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little
wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away
But these small
hours
These small hours
Still remain
All of my regret
Will wash
away somehow
But I cannot forget
the way I feel right now
In these
small hours
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Yeah,
these twisted turns of fate
Time falls away
Yeah, but these small hours,
These little wonders
Still remain
